When Adam Levine’s departure from hit show The Voice was announced in May 2019, the news shocked longtime viewers. The Maroon5 singer had been a coach on the TV talent contest since the start, and fans had grown to love the relationship between him and co-judge, Blake Shelton. But after much speculation, he’s finally revealed why it was time to move on.

Adam Levine first found fame in 2002 as frontman to rock group Maroon5. To date the band have released six albums, all of which are certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), with combined sales of about 120 million albums worldwide. They are known for tracks such as She Will Be Loved and Moves Like Jagger, among others.
