This Dancing With The Stars Winner Finally Revealed The Emotional Truth About His Childhood

Each week on Dancing with the Stars, Jordan Fisher and his partner, Lindsay Arnold, choreographed a number in a different style. But it’s his contemporary performance that stunned audiences for both its beauty and the story behind it. Jordan let his childhood inspire the dance, which meant he had to share his past trials with the world.

In the fifth grade, Jordan earned a part in his school play, School House Rock, Jr. – and a performer was born. He then went on to join Birmingham, Alabama’s Red Mountain Theatre Company as a member of their youth group.

From there, Jordan caught the eye of a talent scout and moved from his native Alabama to Los Angeles, California, in 2011. In Hollywood, his career then took off in both music and on television. He released songs on Radio Disney and through Hollywood Records, and nabbed roles on a number of TV shows, including iCarly, Liv and Maddie and The Secret Life of the American Teenager.
