“It’s one surprise after another,” Kimberly said. After all that initial shock, she was hit again by going into labor three months early. But that wasn’t the end of the jaw-dropping news, and her doctors revealed something else during birth.
She went to the University of Mississippi Medical Center on February 8, 2013, at only 28 weeks. Kimberly had a cesarean to deliver the triplets, and that’s when her doctor said something that made her heart drop.
As the doctor looked inside her, he noticed something strange. “There are more feet,” he said. “No!” Kimberly gasped in response. A fourth baby was then born, the fifth and final Fugate daughter. The triplets had turned into quadruplets.
